For the past 13 years, I have dedicated myself to being a student, a community organizer, and a champion for underserved communities in San Francisco. My journey began after experiencing homelessness for a year, which inspired me to work tirelessly for others, often at the expense of my own well-being. In 2025, my life took a difficult turn when I was injured in a car accident caused by a distracted driver. Ironically, as a city and transportation planner, I have spent over a decade developing projects to prevent such tragedies. Despite my efforts, the driver has refused to respond to my claims, and I now need to file a lawsuit to seek justice.
Shortly after the accident, I landed my dream job, only to be let go due to my injuries. My employer denied me unemployment benefits, leaving me without a safety net. At the same time, my landlord, a bank that had waited years for the property to appreciate, refused to sell me the home I have legally occupied for 13 years, despite my qualifying for city-funded down payment assistance. Instead, they sold it to a company for far less than I was willing to pay. This has left me facing eviction and the loss of my long-time home.
To make matters worse, the City of San Francisco has filed unfounded ethics charges against me. I am now facing multiple court and administrative hearings in April 2026, with no legal assistance and only ten days to compile thousands of pages of evidence for several proceedings. Through all these challenges, I remain grateful for the support I have received in the past from friends, neighbors, and the community. I am now asking for help to cover three months of essential expenses—legal fees, food, rent, and document production—so I can focus on defending myself, keeping my home, and continuing to serve my community.
