To help us honor the memory of Lee Logan,
our family's heartbroken by the sudden loss of my brother Lee Logan. He tragically lost his life last Friday after being struck by two vehicles while riding his bike. He was 56 years old. Lee's life was not always an easy one. He was faced with many challenges throughout the years, but he was actively working on getting back on his feet and seeking the help he needed. We were very hopeful for his future and believed in the brighter days to come for him. Those of you who knew him knew that he was much more than the struggles he faced. He was an incredibly talented artist, a creative spirit, and had a deep love for music, especially the Grateful Dead and the community that surrounded their music. One of the greatest gifts he ever gave me was introducing me to our favorite band, Ekoostik Hookah. Through their music, we found lifelong friendships and some of the most wonderful people we've ever known. Their music has carried us through our lifetime together with many, many memories. Lee leaves behind his ever devoted mother Joyce Dye, his children, Jasmine and Seth, and his beloved granddaughter, Myia, his sister Net'a Johnson, his stepbrother, Jonathan, his nephews, Dustin and Austin, and his great-niece, Isabella, along with many friends whose lives were touched by his creativity, humor, and unique, fiery spirit. He also leaves behind his two senior dogs that were his devoted companions, Capone and Sugaree. He loved those dogs with all of his heart. Both of them, unfortunately, have significant health concerns and are in need of veterinary care and ongoing support. As our family tries to work through the waves of this tragedy, we are committed to making sure that the dogs receive the care and love they both deserve.
As we grieve through this unexpected loss, our family is faced with funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the costs associated with caring for Capone and Sugaree. We are asking for help to give Lee the dignified farewell that he deserves and to provide for the animals that he loved dearly. Any donations, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated. If you're unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
