Support for Lee, Katy, Tyler, and (soon to arrive) Anna Kate

After years of trying to give their son, Tyler, a sibling, Lee and Katy were thrilled to find out they were expecting their second baby in November. On August 1, Katy started experiencing severe pain in her lower leg. After two trips to the emergency room, it was discovered she had a blood clot. After multiple surgeries and no successful return of blood flow, she was transferred to UAB in Birmingham, where she went through more surgeries to attempt to save her lower leg. Katy continued to experience severe pain constantly. Unfortunately, the surgeries were not successful and it was determined that the next course of action would have to be a below the knee amputation due to extensive damage to two of the three main arteries in her leg. Her husband, Lee, is self employed and has been by her side through this journey. After so many of us have wondered how we can help, it was decided this would be a great way to try to help them with time off work, medical bills, etc. In addition to that, they will also be welcoming sweet Anna Kate in just a few more weeks! Our hope is to help relieve any financial burdens so they can focus on Katy’s healing, but if you are unable to help in that way, more than anything, we ask that you please keep them in your prayers!
