We are reaching out to friends, loved ones and all who are willing to help our family. I have set up this account up for my 3 year old cousin Ledger. This summer Ledger’s life changed very dramatically- he became feverish for a week and had nonstop leg pain. Ledger was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia. He has had a rough start with chemotherapy, and he will still need 2 more years of inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy treatments at the Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake.
His family has been hit hard financially with lots of work missed to take care of Ledger to fight his battle with cancer. They have recently been given a 30-day notice to vacate their home. I am trying to help his family with their daily expenses (medical, rent and utilities).
We are hopeful that after these two years he will beat this. He has had a really rough start. With his autism, it makes things harder not being able to understand what is going on and not able to express himself well, but he remains in good spirits.
It is our hope that we can come together and help their family so they can continue to focus on Ledger and his needs rather having to focus on the financial burden that this kind of diagnosis brings.
