My name is Windy, one of Laynie's sisters. A family of tree huggers could never have guessed how drastically Laynie's life would be altered when a large tree fell on her in August, 2025. Many broken bones, a punctured lung, head injury and several weeks on the trauma ward later, Laynie started her journey of recovery. It has been very slow and expensive. She is just very gradually returning to some work duties now but is unable to afford her therapy, medical and living expenses. So on top of the difficulty of trying to manage pain (when bones shatter they take a very long time to heal), and significant concussion symptoms she is under increasing financial stress trying to make ends meet. I know she might be mad at me for asking, but I also think all the friends and family who care about her might want the chance to support just a small amount towards helping this delightful human being heal.
