Our family recently lost our father, Lawson Thornton Christopher Jr., unexpectedly, and we are trying to give him a proper farewell while navigating the emotional and financial weight that comes with sudden loss.

We were hopeful that the VA would fully cover the cremation and related expenses, but unfortunately it does not appear that the assistance will cover the full amount needed. Because of this, we are asking for help raising $5,000 to cover his cremation, and other unexpected costs our family is facing during this difficult time.

Anyone who knew Lawson knew he was unforgettable — a complicated, charismatic man with a larger-than-life personality who left a lasting mark on the people around him. He loved deeply, lived boldly, and built connections everywhere he went.
