Hi, my name is Lawrence. On 10/21, my fiancé and I welcomed our newest addition to the family via C-section. Complications arose immediately. After delivering our daughter, my fiancé's epidural failed, causing her to feel everything and leading to her being put to sleep as it took close to two hours to close up her abdomen.
Fast forward a few days, after returning home from the hospital, my fiancé began experiencing intense pain on the right side of her abdomen. We ended up going to the ER, and a CT scan revealed a large amount of fluid floating around that eventually tested positive for a staph infection. A drain was then inserted. That was almost a week ago. The output of the drain is why we are still in the hospital and looking at major abdominal surgery. Being the fluid has been fluctuating on output instead of steadily declining like it is supposed to, the doctors are convinced she has a perforated bowel and needs surgery.
With all the work I've had to miss as well as my fiancé's benefits not yet having kicked in, we are falling behind on bills and need assistance. If you are unable to help, we understand, but please share so maybe we can reach someone who can. Thank you so much.
