Growing up, they called her “Vonnie”; the girl with the long hair. Born in DC, she grew up in Gastonia, moved to Charlotte and became this phenomenal woman we call Mom~

 Over the years, we’ve watched our Mom, LaVonda positively impact the lives of so many. Through her business ventures, charity work and everyday life, she has gone above and beyond to show compassion to others, especially during their time of need. Whether its an encouraging word or a whole life makeover, our Mom tirelessly extends herself to others.

So much so, people often forget a major battle she’s been fighting since 2012 when she was diagnosed with Stage-4 liver cancer. Over the years she has sown into the lives of others while the cancer has continued to spread to her stomach, breast, lungs, and other areas in 2022.

In true LaVonda fashion, she has not allowed her diagnosis to slow her down. She launched the LME Cancer Foundation to help other patients get the wellness services they need. Click here to learn more.

 

 

Our Mom has always been an advocate against domestic violence by volunteering at shelters and awareness events. Now, she needs our support.

She’s supported women from all walks of life by launching the “Turn Your Passion Into Profit” program that helped new entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. She Co-Produced “Running on a Broken Heel” empowerment series developed by Minister Joseph Washington helping women to overcome adversities. These are just a few of the ways our Mom has helped others to pursue their dreams.

Here’s the Mom/Promoter that developed Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions to help underserved professional boxers from around the world to grow their careers. She’s also known as “Ma” to professional boxers that adopted her as their mentor and counselor.
