My name is Lauren, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times my family has ever faced. In November, we lost my grandmother, and since then, life has been a whirlwind of challenges. My father has been battling stage 4 lung cancer for over a year, and I’ve missed a lot of work to be by his side and help care for him. Just a week and a half ago, he was rushed to the hospital because he couldn’t breathe. He’s still there, fighting for his life, and I’m doing everything I can to be with him every step of the way.
As if that wasn’t enough, two days after my dad was admitted, my grandfather suffered a terrible fall in the hospital parking lot. He hit his head, causing two brain bleeds and a broken eye socket. Now he’s in rehab, and it’s likely he’ll need to move to an assisted living facility or nursing home. The weight of these back-to-back emergencies has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially.
I’m asking for help so I can cover my living expenses while I’m away from work. The stress of bills piling up is heavy, and I want to focus on my father’s care without the constant worry about making ends meet. My dad used to help me, but now he’s on disability and simply doesn’t have the means. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this, share it, donate, or simply keep my family in your thoughts. Asking for help does not come easily to me, but being able to spend this time with my father means more than I can put into words. Your kindness, support, and compassion remind me that I’m not alone, and I will carry that gratitude with me always—far beyond this moment. Thank you for helping me be where my heart needs to be.
just an update my father did pass away on the 22nd of January. I just want to be able to catch up on all my bills that I’ve fallen behind on in the past few months. Thank you to everyone that has already helped it means so much!
