Lauren Garvey Thomas is a close friend of mine, she is only 29 years old and recently experienced an unimaginable loss when her husband, Dave Thomas, passed away in a tragic accident. Dave was a Wilmington native, an avid surfer, and a boat salesman at Marine Warehouse Center and more importantly he was a devoted son, brother, friend, and husband. He was truly one of a kind, dependable, caring, and always knew how to put a smile on your face.
His presence brought joy to everyone around him, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. Only being married for 6 months, this heartbreaking event has left Lauren not only grieving but also facing significant financial uncertainty. Lauren is now trying to find her footing in a world that has changed overnight. The funds raised through this campaign will help her cover essential living expenses, access counseling, and manage other important needs as she begins to rebuild her life. Our hope is to provide Lauren with some stability and peace of mind during this incredibly difficult time, so she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial worries.
