Laura is my beloved niece and goddaughter, and she has always been the heart of our family. She’s a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sibling, aunt, cousin, and friend—someone who has spent her life working hard and caring for others. It’s been devastating to watch her world turn upside down so quickly.

Recently, Laura was diagnosed with cancer and is now undergoing both radiation and chemotherapy. The treatments have left her unable to work, and to make matters even more difficult, her life partner of 22 years lost his job after his family business closed its doors after 60 years. Suddenly, Laura and her partner are facing mounting bills and uncertainty about how they’ll cover even the most basic needs.

The funds raised here will help Laura with medication copays, treatment costs that Medicaid doesn’t cover, house payments, insurance, and daily living expenses.
