To know Laura is to love her. She is the first to care for others, a loyal and supportive (and always sarcastic) friend and sister. She is a baby whisperer, and a dedicated teacher, who goes above and beyond with her nieces, nephews, and students at school.
In October 2014, Laura was lucky to survive what we thought was a fluke of multiple, severe bilateral pulmonary emboli. Since then, the process of trying to accurately explain and treat her ongoing symptoms has turned into years of costly, ongoing complications, endless tests, appointments and medications. The testing uncovered a brain tumor, and an autoimmune disorder, on top of the blood clots that have refused to heal in her lungs, yet still no successful treatment to ease her constant, physical pain and battle to breathe.
Laura has continued to work throughout this process, but the mounting medical costs have become overwhelming. She’s in a unique situation, and still on the hunt for successful treatment for these lifelong diagnoses. Please consider helping Laura fight this battle. Thank you!
