My name is James Nii Lartey. In 2021, my mother suffered a massive stroke and lost her ability to walk and has been diagnosed with vascular dementia. Since then, my father and I have been her caregivers, supporting her daily needs, supplies, and costs. My father is no longer able to work due to her needing 24 hour care. I’ve exhausted savings accounts, and 401k to help keep us afloat. We now need help to get my mom a vehicle so she can leave the house and to cover move in expenses on a rental home a well. Funds will also help us hire caregiving support since we’ve had little assistance from Medicare.
