On Monday, August 11th, my brother Larry Rhodes and his girlfriend were involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. Larry is currently in critical condition in the ICU and has already undergone eight major surgeries — with more ahead. His recovery will be long and challenging.

Although Larry has health insurance, he does not have short-term or long-term disability coverage. This means that while he fights for his life, medical bills and living expenses will continue to pile up. He will need extensive physical therapy, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.

Larry is known for being strong-willed — and that stubbornness is now his greatest asset as he pushes through each day. Out of respect for his privacy and our family’s, we’re keeping the details here brief. If you’d like a personal update, please feel free to reach out to my mother or me directly.
