Support for Larry: Burn Recovery Journey

Larry will start physical therapy and go twice a week until the middle of September. He will be out of work until after that is complete.

He is progress has been amazing so far!!

Larry got to come home on 7/15/2025.

He will still be out of work for about another 4 weeks.

On July 4th, while preparing for a celebration, Larry Richardson and his longtime friend of 25 years, attempted to repurpose an old 50-gallon drum—previously used to store windshield wiper fluid—into a backyard trash can. Although the drum had been empty for over a year, it exploded when Gerald used a plasma cutter to modify it.

Larry has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 20% of his body and Gerald has burns on 65% of his body.

Larry is looking at being in the hospital for a couple of weeks and possibly months out of work as he heals.

Larry was working in HVAC full time and going to school full for Electrical Mechanical Technologies.
