Support for Larry and Jeannie Gentry
Donation protected
As many of you know by now our dad, Larry, was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma near the end of 2021. Since that time he has undergone chemotherapy and has done remarkably well! His team at Emory was able to harvest his own cells (which is GREAT). He is starting his stem cell transplant journey this week. This treatment will require at least three weeks of hospitalization and then further recovery at home. He was fortunate to be able to continue working throughout chemotherapy, but obviously, he cannot do so while undergoing his current transplant. During his transplant journey, he and mom will be out of work.
We know that our dad (and mom) have touched the lives of many friends, family, and even strangers throughout the years. Their positive attitudes and willing hearts have been a help to so many in times of need.
So many of you have asked, "How can we help?". Well, here's where this page comes into play! We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to assist mom and dad through this journey. As you can imagine, his therapy comes with a price. So does the cost of going back and forth to Emory. We are setting our goal of $5,000 to help cover some of the costs associated with his treatments and time away from work.
We also want to encourage everyone to keep "giving" through your prayers. We know that God has heard them so far, and he has given strength to our family.
Thank you for the support shown to our family,
