Larome “Tone” Johnson was a retired, well-respected correction officer with the NYS Department of Corrections, a loving husband, father, son, brother, and amazing friend to all who knew and loved him. His smile , sarcasm and style filled any room he walked into. After bravely overcoming both COVID and cancer, his life was brutally and senselessly taken in a dispute with a neighbor, resulting in the end of a beautiful life. . His passing has left his wife, children, father, siblings, friends, and coworkers heartbroken and searching for comfort in their faith.

Larome was known for his dedication to his work and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He touched many lives through his service and kindness, always putting others before himself. Now, his family is devastated and hurt, but they are leaning on God for support as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
