Landon Marsilett was a passenger in a rollover accident that happened on Wednesday night around 8:30pm on highway 63 and Delia Road. He was partially ejected from the vehicle and was intubated at the scene before being rushed to Children’s Mercy Hospital, where he was admitted to the PICU. Landon suffered a traumatic brain injury, a fractured neck, and a severe head wound that required surgery. Since the accident, he has made incredible progress. His ventilator tube was removed at midnight on Friday night, and he is now breathing on his own. While he is out of the PICU, Landon still faces challenges, including short-term memory loss and moments of confusion and fear. Every bit of progress brings hope and eases some of the uncertainty our family has felt since the accident. We are taking things one day at a time and are so thankful for the care Landon is receiving from his amazing team of doctors and nurses at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Erin, Landon's mom, is staying in Kansas City to be with him. She is now paying for hotel rooms, food, and gas so she can remain by his side during his recovery. The financial burden is significant, and we want to help Erin focus on supporting Landon without worrying about these expenses.
