Update:

Larry has completed his journey on earth on January 7, 2025 at 5:14 pm, surrounded by his daughter Kyra, sister Wendy, brother Steve, ex wife and love of his life Amber and one of his closest friends he called sister Misty. Please keep his family and friends in your hearts as we mourn the loss of our friend, brother, dad, and uncle. Larry was loved by so many people and touched so many hearts along his way.

Also please continue to share and donate if you can, every dollar helps relieve this tremendous burden. The family will plan a celebration of life sometime in the coming days.

My name is Leann. I am a lifelong friend of Larry Sacks and Godmother to his daughter, Kyra Sacks.

On December 26, Larry was taken to the hospital with flu symptoms and was incoherent. On December 29, he suffered severe respiratory distress and became unresponsive. He was then put on a ventilator. Further testing showed he has had a series of strokes and numerous infectious embolisms in his brain, lungs, and spine, with one sitting at C1.

The family has been given two options: Hospice care or vegetative support care. His family would like to honor his wishes and proceed with Hospice care, then cremation services. Larry has no life insurance and I am requesting financial help for Kyra to cover travel, final expenses, and missed wages. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
