Support for Kyle's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Kyle Berg, my cousin, was a normal 21 year old young man attending college when on December 23, 2017 he ended up in the ER to learn he has a grade 2 Astrocytoma.  Kyle had his whole life ahead of him and now he has been faced with so many challenges.  After several weeks of testing, Kyle had brain surgery on January 17, 2018 to remove what they could of the very large tumor.  The doctor was able to get 80% of it, however, that isn’t going to be enough.  Beginning THIS Wednesday, February 21st (through April 7th) Kyle has to travel and live four hours away for his treatment. He will receive radiation five days a week to shrink the tumor.  Once that is complete, Kyle will have approximately one month off and then will have weekly rounds of chemo for SIX MONTHS, again at the hospital four hours away.

Thankfully Kyle has medical insurance but it won’t cover nearly all of the medically related expenses. Kyle and his mom, Lisa, will be living temporarily near the hospital which is not covered by insurance.  They will also need to eat while they are there.  Lisa does work full time but she will not be able to while with Kyle throughout his treatment.

This is a major hardship for Kyle and his family.  He comes from an extremely loving and caring family who would do anything for him.  What they all need is the comfort of knowing there is enough to take care of the required expenses of this very unexpected and sad illness.  People have asked us how they can help and we are here to tell you that the best way you can help is to pray that his surgery, radiation and chemo will do the trick and that Kyle will get to live a full life.  But, beyond that, the next best way you can help is to give them peace of mind.  Please consider helping with their expenses by donating to Kyle’s GoFundMe page.

The proceeds will be used to help him and his mom with their expenses while they temporarily live four hours from the rest of their family.  If there is anything left after that, it will be put straight toward Kyle’s medical costs. We greatly appreciate any bit of help that you can give!!!
