The sudden passing of my dad, Kurt Hall, from undetected cancer and heart complications on July 3rd, has left a hole in our family in countless ways.
Not only was he an exceptional and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend—he was the heart and backbone of our household. He spent his retirement years helping me care for my daughter and my son, who has severe special needs. He poured himself into caregiving with a passion.
His absence leaves our hearts aching... our best friend is suddenly gone—and with his passing, I am temporarily unable to work until I find another caregiver.
Dad had no assets and his life insurance policy became too expensive to keep up with. I need help to give him a proper and final farewell, and to keep the household afloat as we find our footing.
We wish we had just one more day of his humor filling our house with laughter, and his wisdom helping us to navigate life in an ever-changing world—but we know that more than anything, now as always, he would want us to be taken care of.
