On February 3, 2026, I received probably one of the most scary calls a mom can receive. While my son was working as a power sport technician and working on a snowmobile, the throttle stuck and he ended up crashing into a building going roughly 60-70 mph. Thankfully, he was wearing his helmet, which likely saved his life. He was airlifted to a nearby trauma hospital with a broken left wrist. Fortunately, his coworkers acted quickly and applied a ratchet strap as a tourniquet to his right leg, where the handle bar of the snowmobile had impaled his right thigh. He did not lose his leg. Thank goodness!!
While he will be receiving workman’s compensation, it does not cover his full wages. As we just bought land in the fall, this unexpected accident has added to our responsibilities as we work through his recovery. The funds raised will help cover living expenses while he recovers, allowing us to focus on his healing and well-being without the added stress of making ends meet.
We are grateful for any support during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will help us move forward and give my son the best chance at recovery. Thank you for considering a donation to help our family.
