Hello friends and family!
Over the past 6 months, I have been pursuing admission to the Kaiser School of Allied Health Sciences, Cardiac Sonography Program. I am so proud to share that I have been accepted to this year’s program and will be learning how to view the heart through ultrasound! Of the hundreds who applied, I was 1 of 16 students chosen. This is a rigorous 18-month program that will include lectures, labs, and clinical rotations. Right now, I am commuting from Sacramento to Richmond, but soon will be visiting various clinical sites around the Sacramento region. It will definitely be challenging, but I am so fired up and ready to get started! I am currently in week three and already scanning human hearts as they pump in front of me.
For me, this is an opportunity to pursue a career in specialized imaging of the heart. To diagnose and help people; from fetal to geriatric stages of life. This program will allow me to build a fulfilling career and rewarding life. Simply put, this is a life changing opportunity.
This program costs $25k in tuition. Since KPSAHS is a private school, I do not have access to private or personal student loan options. I am turning to my friends, family, and community to help me fund this dream. Whatever you can contribute, no matter how big or small, is so deeply appreciated. Please share if you feel inclined, all money raised will go directly towards tuition. THANK YOU so much for your support!
