It’s obvious how loved and adored KreSean was by how loudly we all are mourning this loss. Kre made such an impact on our community. Every person posting and talking about him has shared the impact he’s made by just showing up for the people in his life. He always made sure the people around him felt seen and he always left people in better shape than he found them. He was goofy and kind. He had a way of making you feel like you always had a place with him, like no matter what if you had Kre, you had a friend. We don’t always get to know why such tragedies happen, but we can know without a doubt that KreSean didn’t waste a second of his life. He spent it building lasting relationships—with those in his community, in his classroom, and on the field.

It was always said about Kelvis that to know him was to love him. The same can be said about KreSean. To know him was to love him. To know the Bowens is to love them, and that’s such a testament to these brothers and their mama; to the impact this family has had on our community.
