My stepmother is facing one of the hardest moments a parent can endure—the sudden loss of her son, Kory, who passed away unexpectedly on his 40th birthday, January 2nd, 2026. The shock of his passing has left her not only grieving, but also managing a host of unexpected expenses and the overwhelming responsibility of coordinating all of his affairs.

Kory was an intelligent, compassionate, creative person who we were blessed to have with us for 40 years. He was a phenomenal musician who played in several bands over the years, a master of sound and production, and was an enthusiast of cars, motorcycles and was always helping whomever he could even during his own times of struggle. His unmatched technical and mechanical brilliance amazed everyone who knew him, and he was a beloved brother, son, cousin and friend. Our hearts are shattered by his loss, and his absence is deeply felt by everyone who loved him.

The funds raised will help cover Kory’s final expenses, tying up personal affairs, moving costs, services and provide support for my stepmother as she takes unpaid time away from work to handle it all.
