Kori Rose Burkle, age 3, of Nashua, IA, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, surrounded by her loving family. Kori bravely fought Pontocerebellar Hyoplasia (PCH) Type 2A since birth. Though she was nonverbal and faced many physical limitations, her strength and spirit touched everyone who knew her. She reminded us to count our blessings and not take anything for granted. She is deeply missed by her parents, Annette and Blake, and her six-year-old sister, Kelby. Her family cherished every moment with her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
In this time of unimaginable loss, we are coming together to support Kori’s family with the financial costs of funeral expenses. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Annette, Blake, and Kelby honor Kori’s memory. All donations will go directly to Annette and Blake. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference as they navigate this difficult journey.
Many people have reached out asking how they can help, and as Annette’s cousin, I wanted to provide an avenue for those wishing to support the family. We are deeply grateful for any contribution, no matter the size.
