Support for Kiya Akintayo and Sheryl Douglas

On February 1st, we lost a wonderful man, Edward Akintayo. He was a son, father, partner, Marine, mentor and giving friend. His sudden and untimely passing has left a significant absence in countless lives. In so many different ways, we have been touched by Edward and his family. Edward came into my life through his daughter, Kiya, a very close student of mine; he was a consistent presence at school events, and was a great support of Kiya in pursuing her studies and art. He always brought immense grace and positivity into our spaces, and our lives.

Please help us support Kiya and her Grandma Sheryl through this most difficult time.
