King Jaxxon Spurlock, my great nephew, was diagnosed with a Wilm’s Tumor on July 5, 2024. Within a week, he underwent surgery to remove his right kidney, tumor, and renal glands. Over the next ten months, Jaxxon bravely faced chemotherapy, multiple blood transfusions, and a round of radiation. In June 2025, he completed his last chemotherapy session and was declared cancer free, ringing the bell to celebrate this huge milestone. He started kindergarten in August 2025 and was thriving, bringing so much joy to our family.

Sadly, in September 2025, Jaxxon developed a cough and fever, and we learned that his cancer had returned, this time in his right lung. As the tumor grew, he became easily tired and had to stop attending school. The tumor became resistant to chemotherapy, and on November 26, 2025, Jaxxon had surgery to remove the tumor and part of his right lung. Through all of this, his mom—a single parent and entrepreneur—has been by his side every step of the way, spending countless nights in the hospital to make sure Jaxxon is never alone. This means she cannot work full time, but medical expenses, utilities, car payments, and insurance still need to be covered, along with food and therapy costs.

Our family is deeply grateful for the thoughts, prayers, and kindness that have been or will be shown. It is hard to ask for help, but we know it truly takes a community to raise a child, and Jaxxon’s village is strong. We appreciate anyone who can share this message with friends, family, businesses, corporations, and church families. We believe there is a network of people willing to help. Jaxxon is the sweetest person you will ever meet—he loves Spider-Man and dreams of taking family vacations.
