✨ Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m creating this in honor of my mother, Kimberly Jean Wensley
June 5, 1961 – April 15, 2026
Some of you may have known her by her maiden name, Kim Kitchen, from her younger years in Michigan. She was born there and made so many beautiful memories on the lake in Prudenville and Houghton Lake. That is where her roots were—where she grew up and built lifelong friendships before we moved to Arizona when I was 8 years old.
My mom was an incredible, loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt friend, and wife who meant everything to me and our family. Her passing on April 15, 2026 has left all of us—myself, my son, my brother Bob Aunt Jenny, Grandfather - Joseph Kitchen and all of our family in Michigan, extended family, and the many wonderful friendships she built in Arizona—in complete shock and heartbreak.
She faced many health challenges, both physical and personal, that she often kept to herself. Like many strong and stubborn women, she carried more than she let on. We find comfort knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones she missed so deeply.
We are now navigating not only the emotional loss, but also unexpected financial burdens, as she did not have resources set aside and left behind significant obligations.
So many people have reached out asking how they can help. It’s not easy for me to ask, but I’m creating this space for anyone who feels led to support our family during this time.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. Even sharing this means more than I can express.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Thank you everyone for the extreme overboard and flooding of love and support even by strangers!!!
