Hi my name is Natalie and I am Kim’s sister.  My nephew James is in the hospital again after 2 failed hip surgeries. He is septic and doctors say he will need multiple surgeries to get all the infection out of his hip and pelvis, over the next several weeks possibly months. They are worried it may spread into his spine and brain as he has rods in his back for his scoliosis and pins in his pelvis that are holding the rods. His lungs are not doing well which makes surgery even more risky. My sister is a single mother and has another teen at home. I want to ease a bit of the expenses since this will be a long road. During these lengthy hospital stays my sister cannot work since she is at the hospital caring for him bedside. Not having a paycheck for weeks possibly months is stressful. She tries to play catch up once discharged but he keeps ending up back in the hospital. She has to pay for parking at the hospital, food, the Ronald McDonald house they will be staying at and of coarse her normal mortgage and household bills. Kim and James are truly the strongest people I know. And no matter how hard life has been for James he continues to bless us all with his contagious smile!
