Kim and Bill Shaw experienced the unimaginable when a fire ripped through their home on Sunday morning. Kim was able to escape to safety and save one of their cats. Bill was not home at the time and was unharmed.

The home is uninhabitable and they lost all of their belongings. Insurance will only do so much and they need a village to help them through this.

Kim has been a part of my village for years. She is kind and compassionate and always there to lend a shoulder to cry on. She has been this way with so many others as well. The door to their home has always open to those who need it. Let's help them get that door open again!

In addition to the fire, Bill has mobility issues. He is scheduled for surgery on his legs on 2/18. Fixing their home in a manner that is suitable for him makes this experience even more daunting.
