Hey everyone!

As many of you know, for the last few years, I have been struggling with a chronic kidney issue and getting a diagnosis for what I am going through. After 3 kidney biopsies and countless rounds of kidney stones, I was diagnosed with Cystinuria as well as Berger Disease. Cystinuria causes a buildup and high concentrations of the amino acid cystine in the urine, leading to the formation of cystine stones in the kidneys, bladder, and other areas. Berger Disease causes an excess buildup of protein in my kidneys. My kidneys have been through the wringer.

I have tried to maintain my positive disposition through this all, but it has been a struggle. On top of the health issues I have been struggling with, I was laid off from my last position 7 months ago. I have applied to every job that is remotely in my wheelhouse, but there hasn't been anything produced from all of that work, and yes, it is work to apply to jobs.

I am struggling mightily and am embarrassed to be in a position to have to ask for help, but here I am. I had a period of no insurance and I had a number of medical bills incurred during that time. Then to top it all off, the Trump administration has made moves to make it not possible to write off medical bankruptcy.

I am at my wits' end. I begin kidney dialysis on Tuesday. If you have anything to offer to help, it would be so greatly appreciated.
