Hi everyone,

My name is Kiara Dalton . I’m creating this fundraiser to help my dad get the medication he urgently needs to stay healthy after a very scary medical situation.

A few weeks ago, my dad suffered a stroke and spent about 2–3 weeks in the hospital. After finally being released and trying to get back to normal life, things took another frightening turn. While at work, he suddenly experienced shortness of breath and passed out. He was rushed back to the hospital where doctors discovered blood clots in both of his lungs.

He had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the clots. Thankfully, the doctors were able to remove some of them, but not all. Because of this, he now has to take a blood thinner called Eliquis to prevent more clots and protect his life.

The hardest part is that my dad does not have health insurance. He worked as a contract electrician, which means he doesn’t have coverage to help pay for this medication. Without it, he is at serious risk.

We are hoping to raise $800 to help cover the cost of his medication so he can continue recovering safely at home.

My dad is one of the most caring and funny people you could ever meet. Anyone who knows him knows he loves to laugh and always puts his family first. He has spent his life working hard and helping others whenever he could. Now we are hoping to come together and help him during this difficult time.
