Support for Key Family in Tragic Times
Donation protected
With a heavy hard, I am starting this fundraiser to help the Key family in their heartbreaking time of need. On May 26th, an impaired driver ran a red light and hit all three Key children and sent them to the hospital. Dylan, the youngest of the Key children had the worst injuries and has been in the ICU at Loma Linda ever since. Last night he was declared brain dead and the family will be donating his organs.
For those who don't know the family, they are wonderful people who I have had the pleasure of getting to know through our daughters being friends the last 10 years. I can't even fathom the pain they are all going through right now. I wanted to set up this go fund me because worrying about hospital bills and funeral cost should be the last thing on their minds. Please join me in showing Joey, Theresa, Kaytlyn and Alyssa our love, support and condolences.
Hi everyone. I'm truly grateful to see that we have reached our fund raising goal in just a couple days. I have had people reaching out to me saying that they would still like to contribute. I will increase the funding goal but I believe it is also still possible to add beyond the limit.
I have a couple messages from the Key family that I would like to add.
From Joey;
"I have been trying to think of what to say because I am truly speechless at what people are doing. Truly grateful for everything. I have no idea how to thank all of you. It just shows the impact this child has made, the love he shared, and the kindness he has shown to everyone. I am truly blessed at the outpouring of love and support this community has shown my family. Your help in this difficult time is so appreciated. You all have become a part of my family and hold a special place in my heart."
Theresa's Facebook message;
"Alyssa is currently making an Instagram page for Dylan. Please add Dylans_journey5, if you're on Instagram. I will post information here and Alyssa will post the same information on Instagram about his upcoming services and journey as an organ donor (or at least what we can share). Please feel free add pictures and videos to his page."
Thank you everyone for the kindness you have shown the Keys.
