Our brother, Kevin Madrigal, has been in the ICU at Palomar Hospital since Sunday, September 7, after suffering a cardiac arrest that caused a severe brain injury. The doctors do not believe he will recover meaningful function, and our family is holding on day by day, praying for a miracle, his comfort, and his healing. On Monday, he will be transitioned into comfort care, where our focus will be on keeping Kevin comfortable and surrounded by love.

This has been the most heartbreaking and difficult time for us. We are asking for your support through prayers, kind words, and, if possible, financial help. Any contribution will go directly toward Kevin’s hospital expenses, his end-of-life care, and memorial arrangements, while helping our family manage the heavy burden of this unexpected crisis.

Kevin has always been a caring brother, a loyal friend, and someone who lights up every room he enters. Most of all, he is a devoted father. Kevin leaves behind his young son, Lemmy, who was the light of his life. We want to ensure Kevin’s journey is filled with dignity and love, and that Lemmy grows up knowing how deeply his father was loved.

Our brother, Kevin Madrigal, passed away early this morning, September 16, 2025, at 2:05 am. He fought bravely in the ICU at Palomar Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on September 7 that caused a severe brain injury. Kevin was surrounded in love by his mom, his sisters, and his son’s mother in his final moments.

Kevin leaves behind his young son, Lemmy, who meant the world to him. Our family will carry forward Kevin’s memory and ensure that Lemmy grows up knowing how deeply his father was loved.

Memorial Service

The date, time, and location of Kevin’s memorial service are still to be determined. We will share details as soon as they are finalized so that all who loved him may gather to honor his life.
