In Loving Memory of My Dad, Kevin Butler – Seeking Support During This Heartbreaking Time

I never imagined I would be writing this, especially not today. Yesterday, on my birthday, I lost my dad, Kevin Butler. Just two months ago, he was healthy and full of life, and we had no idea how quickly everything would change. His health took a sudden and harsh turn, and despite everything, we had to say goodbye far too soon.

My dad was my rock—kind, loving, and always there when I needed him. He was the heart of our family, a devoted husband to my mom, Darleen, an incredible father to me, and the most loving grandfather to my 3-year-old daughter, Kaia. He adored her, and it breaks my heart that she won’t get to grow up with him by her side. Losing him so suddenly has left us completely devastated.

One thing that brings us some comfort is knowing that my dad is now reunited with my brother, Chris, who we lost in 2004. After so many years apart, they are together again in heaven. While our hearts ache for the loss, we find peace in knowing they are watching over us.

On top of the immense grief we’re experiencing, my family is now facing the financial burden of medical bills, funeral expenses, and other unexpected costs that come with such a heartbreaking loss.
