My name is Kerry, and I am reaching out during one of the hardest times my family has ever faced. I take care of all the finances for myself, my mom who is bed-ridden from multiple sclerosis, and my 15-year-old daughter. For the past three years, I worked hard to provide for us, but on March 27th, I was unexpectedly fired by text message for interviewing with another company after hours. Since then, I have been applying to jobs five hours a day, every day, and have gone on several interviews, but I am still searching for a new position.
The situation has become overwhelming. I have been selling everything I own just to keep up with the bills that matter most. My car payment is due soon, and if I lose my car, I don’t know how I’ll be able to move forward. My mom’s emotional support dog will need food soon. We have no food right now. I will soon have utilities and insurance due as well. I am required to maintain our lawn per our rental agreement, then rent. I am just scared and could really use any help possible honestly. I really don’t want my family to end up on the street.
On top of all this, my daughter has been struggling with her mental health, and I am doing everything I can to get her the help she needs. We lost my dad last year, and nothing has been the same since.
Honestly, any support at all would mean everything to us. I am so sorry to even have to ask. I wish I could have been prepared for this, but I barely made enough to get by, much less save any money. If you cannot donate, maybe you could share your own story of inspiration. The good Lord knows I could use all the inspiration I could get. It is really hard once you get this low mentally. Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can offer.
