Support for Kerryn and her grandchildren

Hi everyone,

My name is Emma, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share a dear friend of mine Terri Higgins, sadly and suddenly passed away on March 3rd, 2025. She suffered from the age of 2 from multiple brain tumors and despite over 15 years of stability an aggressive tumor formed which took her life within 6 days.

She leaves behind three incredible children—Matthew (9), Rachel (7), and Julian (4)—who now find themselves under the loving care of their grandmother, Kerryn.

As you can imagine, life has changed drastically for Kerryn and the children. The two older children require extra care for their special needs of ADHD and Autism Spectrum and require home schooling. As such, Kerryn has had to step away from her full-time job. This has placed an overwhelming financial strain on her as she carries 100% sole responsibility of caring for the three kids.

I have created this fundraiser because while the world may feel like it has come to a sudden stop for Kerryn and her family, the daily demands of life continue—bills, mortgage payments, medical appointments, food, education, and so much more. Every bit of help counts.

Many friends, family, and members of their church community—have been asking how they can offer their support, and this is where we can make a real difference. Your kindness, no matter how small, will ease their burden immensely in the days, months, and years ahead.
