Kent Goodrich was a remarkable friend, colleague, and family man who touched the lives of so many people. I had the privilege of knowing Kent for over 25 years, first meeting him when he was the Y2K coordinator at Affiliated Computer Services, where we shared many friends and experiences. Over the years, our paths crossed again and again. At Red Sky Solutions I hired him as an engineer, and later as he became the engineering manager at Presidio. Kent was not only a talented network engineer but also a loving, giving person who was always ready to lend a hand with any DIY project. He was incredibly handy around the house and brought leadership and inspiration to every team he worked with.

Kent’s passions extended beyond work. He was a devoted fan of University of Utah athletics, especially Utah Football, and was an excellent athlete himself. He loved playing basketball, running, doing triathlons, and golfing. Above all, Kent was a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his wife and four children, and he lived just long enough to see his daughter, Hanna, get married on March 14th.

After being diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid cancer, Kent was given just nine months to live, but his strength and determination allowed him to fight for four years. The journey was incredibly difficult and costly, with countless specialty treatments and long hours spent at Huntsman Cancer Institute. The funds raised will help cover the significant medical expenses, funeral and end-of-life costs, and provide a bridge for his wife and children.
