Kenneth, my brother, is someone who brings warmth and joy to everyone around him. Last week, he started feeling sick and tested positive for the flu. Despite our hopes that he would recover quickly, his condition worsened, and by Tuesday, he was admitted to the ICU with renal failure and pneumonia. The doctors have told us that he is stable but still in critical condition, and right now, we don’t know how long his recovery will take. Kenneth is one of the main breadwinners for the household he shares with our mom, so this has been especially hard for her, both emotionally and financially.
