Hello, my name is Kenneth D. Wilkerson III, but most people call me Kenny. I recently lost my mom, and it’s been one of the hardest experiences of my life. She was the most caring and entertaining person ever—she was the life of the party, always there to listen or offer advice, and she loved fashion so much that she started her own business to help others feel confident. She was my everything, my best friend, and her absence has left a huge gap in my heart.

While the funeral arrangements have already been taken care of, this loss has affected me in many ways. My mom was my main support throughout college, and now I’m facing my last year without her guidance and encouragement. I am a junior in college and starting in the fall, I will be entering my senior year at Capital University. I am continuing with school, football, and work, but the emotional weight of this loss will make things significantly more difficult. I created this fundraiser to help me navigate life after losing someone who was everything to me.
