Hi all! My name is Lauren- or Lala depending on who you ask. I’m reaching out on behalf of the Wallace Family. Anessa and Josiah Wallace have 3 beautiful girls who bring so much love and light into the lives of everyone they meet. They are incredibly hard working parents who would give you the shirts off their backs if you needed it.
Kennedy, 3, is their middle child. She is silly, independent, always looking for ways to have fun, and is so so loved. Over the last 7 days, they have been faced with some big news and changes. After a very sudden referral to Huntsville Hospital, Kennedy has been diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor, or nephroblastoma, which is a type of cancer that develops in the kidney(s). Testing determined it is localized to one kidney and that she has some spots in her lungs. The Wallace’s have been at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, TN getting more answers and a game plan for their girl.
Wilms Tumor is a rare, but treatable, form of cancer. Her doctors, nurses, hospital staff have been wonderful, and they feel strongly that this will be treated through chemo, eventually surgery, and radiation. Kennedy is strong, but we know that treatment and recovery will be a journey. As I’ve talked with their other family, friends, and loved ones, we would like to provide them with any opportunity possible to be stress free of financial burdens during this time. They wouldn’t be anywhere else but with Kennedy, and we are hoping to make sure they can be present as a family. We are sincerely grateful for any amount, thoughts, prayers, etc contributed, and I know the Wallace Family would say the same
