My name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out to support my older sister Chanel and her family during an incredibly difficult time. Chanel has always been a pillar of strength in our lives, stepping in as a parent and working tirelessly to care for her loved ones. After years of heartbreak and four miscarriages, she was finally blessed with two miracle children: Aiko, who is just one year old, and Kenji, born at just 24 weeks on September 16th, 2025, weighing only 1 pound 3 ounces. Kenji is now bravely fighting for his life in a specialized hospital, facing multiple serious health challenges including a fungal infection, a bacterial infection, a brain bleed, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

When Kenji’s condition became critical, Chanel, her husband, and little Aiko had to make the difficult journey to a hospital four hours away. With no work and limited finances, they are currently sleeping in their car just to be near Kenji. Their days are spent in constant worry, balancing the needs of their newborn son and their toddler daughter, while struggling to afford basic necessities like food, lodging, and medical expenses. Chanel’s strength and love for her family keep them going, but the burden is overwhelming.
