I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but life has a way of humbling us. Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer, and my world changed overnight. My biggest fear became not just about surviving the illness, but about how I would support myself and my two children while I undergo treatment. Being out of work has left me with only a small income, which isn’t enough to cover our basic needs, let alone the extra costs that come with fighting cancer.

Every day is a challenge, and it’s hard not to feel embarrassed asking for help. But I know that closed mouths don’t get fed, and I want to do everything I can to keep my family afloat. The support from this fundraiser will help me pay the bills, buy hygiene products and cleaning supplies, and make sure my children have what they need for school. It will also help us maintain our quality of life while I focus on getting better.
