We are all so devastated to learn of the passing of Kelly (Lambert) Cain of Campbell River. Kelly has fought a gracious two year battle with Haemochromatosis- a genetic disorder in which iron proteins accumulate and caused liver damage and liver failure which eventually resulted in liver cancer. Kelly was waitlisted for a liver transplant but it didn’t happen fast enough and her body couldn’t fight any longer. Today we had to say goodbye to Kelly after she fought so hard; she was only 45 years old. She has left behind a loving husband Trevor and three beautiful children Nolan (18), Addisyn (12) and Alyssa (9). We are hoping to raise funds to help with accumulated medical costs/hotel stays and missed time off work for Trevor these past two years and give them some extra funds to help with the transition as they navigate life without Kelly.
