Support for Kelly Bixby in a time of need
Donation protected
Many of you know Kelly's zest for life and overt love felt for all those closest to her. She truly is a selfless being meant to provide all those around her with utmost care, loving, and compassion. Along with her loving husband, Bill, there is a heavy dose of comedy and laughter whenever you come in contact with them. She has provided so much to her family and friends with the selflessness and care, and, we are all so fortunate to be part of her life because of it.
Now, more than ever, Kelly needs the most important care and kindness provided back to her. My dear Aunt Kelly is in the fight for her life and she battles Grade 4 Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma), diagnosed last week (April 1). No doubt it's been a shock to the system, literally, as we are left to process the news but also look to the future and the next steps to get Kelly stronger, as well as, continue with an aggressive round of radiation and chemotherapy.
My mother has been out there supporting Bill and Kelly from the medical side of things explaining doctor's diagnoses, working with Kelly on her therapy and general transport around the house. Uncle Mike and his wife Cindy have provided their support with the construction of an accessible ramp already and our Uncle Keith and Jeanne are arriving next week to begin working on the bathroom renovations.
But, the need for support doesn't stop there. Kelly will need to undergo intensive therapy but is limited in mobility due to her recent fall from constant bouts of dizziness prior to her diagnosis. Kelly will require a motorized wheelchair, renovations to their bathroom for accessible use, a ramp to gain access into their house, and various medical devices and home health services. The cost of the support to raise is a pure estimate, but we would love for you to donate whatever you can to help Bill, the kids, and Kelly tackle this disease head on. Likely, Kelly will also need follow-up care in the future.
Please consider donating whatever you can to help. If you cannot donate, please share this GoFundMe with anyone who might resonate with Kelly's story. All funds go towards her treatment and care.
