It is with an extremely heavy heart that I post this asking for your prayers and support for the family of Matt Lyman, a loving husband to Kelly and father to Jackson, who suffered a sudden and unimaginable medical emergency last week.

On Thursday, March 12th, Matt was rushed to the hospital after not feeling well at home and calling 911. While at the hospital, Matt unexpectedly suffered a massive stroke and went into cardiac arrest. The doctors worked quickly to stabilize him and performed an emergency procedure to remove a clot blocking an artery to his brain. While the procedure itself was successful, the damage caused by the stroke was severe and irreversible.

Matt has been surrounded by his loving family and friends as he is kept comfortable during this incredibly difficult time. Matt was the guy you could always rely on for help and as an organ donor, Matt will heroically be gifting another chance at life to others in need.

As Kelly prepares to say goodbye to her partner and best friend, she is also facing the unimaginable task of moving forward without Matt by her side. Along with the heartbreak comes the weight of unexpected medical expenses, funeral costs, and the responsibility of caring for their 10-year-old son, Jackson.

Matt and Kelly were looking forward to several big moments this year including celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary as well as a family cruise to the Bahamas that he frequently shared a countdown and AI photos of “vacation Matt” with us all.

I’d like to ask for your prayers for Matt and support for Kelly and Jackson as they navigate this extremely difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden they now face and allow them the space to grieve, heal, and honor Matt’s life and legacy.
