On June, 29th after leaving work from Cecil’s Barber shop, Keith Blake decided to get his car washed after a long day of work. Upon exiting the car wash parking lot, he was “T-boned” directly into the driver-side door by a large pickup truck. The critical injuries sustained included several broken bones, including ribs, a broken arm and leg, as well as a ruptured spleen. By the grace of God, he made it to the ICU and after several weeks of surgeries and medical observations, he was released home and is now being cared for by his longtime girlfriend Tiffany Blake. Even now, 2 months after this traumatic event, Keith is not yet back on his feet and able to be the provider and protector that he prides himself to be.
Keith has been a Barber in the Sacramento/Citrus heights area for the last 4 decades and has been a major pillar in the community for even longer. Until the day of his accident, he along with his cousins Terrence and Jerry, picked up and upheld the mantal of his late great uncle Cecil Dyer at the aforementioned barber shop. The Army Veteran has been working hard for his community by, feeding and caring for the homeless, speaking and coaching the youth, working with various churches, and mentoring countless generations of young men. He has helped so many people throughout his life, now it’s time to help him.
The goal for this Go Fund Me is to raise money for his care and the time he has been unable to earn money for his bills and cost of living. As you may know, being a professional Barber and Entrepreneur, there are no sick days and no cash coming in, if there are no customers coming in. Keith needs time to heal and get himself back to a state, where he can earn money to support himself and his family. Tiffany, who has been caring for Keith, has had to sacrifice her employment to care for Keith full time. This money will help them with expenses as well as rent while Keith is recovering. Even if you are unable to Donate to this fund, we only ask that you share this page and say a prayer for the Blake family.
Lastly, we want to thank the medical team at Mercy San Juan along with the first responders for their care of Keith, as well as you all for your prayers and well wishes. We know this is only part of the journey and testimony for Keith. We know that God is moving in these circumstances and Keith will be back on his feet in due time.
