Keira is a bright 19-year-old who just started her college journey in August, full of hope for the future. Recently, her world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a rare cancer called synovial sarcoma. The tumors have pressed on her heart artery and liver, landing her in the ICU and forcing her to undergo days of chemotherapy and radiation. Through it all, her mother Monica has been by her side, traveling back and forth to the hospital while still caring for Keira’s two siblings at home. As a single parent, Monica is doing everything she can to hold her family together during this unimaginable time.


The financial strain is overwhelming. Monica has had to cut back on work to be there for Keira, and the cost of gas alone for daily hospital trips is a huge burden. The funds raised here will help Monica feed her children at home and cover the travel expenses that are piling up. Keira, ever determined, worries about paying for her next semester of college, but right now, her health and recovery are what matter most.
