My son, Jakeem Johnson, affectionately known as "Keem" was involved in a motorcycle accident on June 1, 2023. He was wearing a helmet and nevertheless suffered a fractured shoulder, a fractured pelvis and a dislocated kneecap and a broken leg.

Keem is out of ICU and is currently at Hillside for rehabilitation. He has a long road to recovery and at least 3 future surgeries to repair tendons, ligaments and nerve damage.

The accident was the result of a driver of an SUV pulling out from a side street and running directly into him. Jakeem will be out of work for the foreseeable future and while he has short term disability from his employer, it is only for 8 weeks.

I am asking that you give what you can, prayers are welcomed even if you cannot donate at this time. I am grateful for all of the calls and prayers and positive thoughts from friends, family and strangers.
